Offered here for your consideration is a used engine camshaft gear, BMC part no. AEC 482, for the Austin Healey in-line six-cylinder engine.  The engine camshaft gear was removed from a 1964 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 MkIII over 30 years ago and has been stored on our shop shelves.  It was removed from A-H 3000 BJ8 engine number 29K/ RU/H 4708.   It was degreased and cleaned thoroughly.   Some wear is evident -- but it appears perfectly serviceable.  Please look at the photos.  Please e-mail us with any questions.   International buyers are welcome, but please email us first to provide you with a shipping cost quote to your destination. .  

BMW to build front-drive sedan

BMW boss Norbert Reithofer has surefire plans for a new front-wheel-drive entry-level sedan, falling in just below the existing 3-series sedan. The new four-door, known internally at BMW's Munich-based headquarters under the working title NES (New Entry-level Sedan), forms part of a new range of front-wheel-drive models set to join the BMW lineup in the near future. “The NES is integral to our growth plans,” a BMW insider source revealed.

General Motors boss Dan Akerson gets into the Woodward Dream Cruise act

General Motors chairman Dan Akerson personally led a parade down metro Detroit's famed boulevard for car aficionados, Woodward Avenue, on Thursday as part of festivities for Chevrolet's 100th anniversary and in advance of the Woodward Dream Cruise. Taking the wheel of a cherry-red 1960 Corvette, Akerson helmed the procession of Chevy icons, which included 51 Volts. The group was augmented by Camaros, more Vettes and other classics.

Chris Bangle resigns as BMW Group Design Director

BMW today announced that Chris Bangle is resigning from his position as Head of Design for the BMW Group. Bangle will be handing over his post to current Head of BMW Automobile Design, Adrian van Hooydonk, when he leaves the company to pursue his own design-related endeavors outside the auto industry. Bangle has worked closely with van Hooydonk at BMW Group Design Development for nearly 17 years.
