You are bidding on a NEW or Denso factory only rebuilt gear reduction starter designed for the Austin Healey Sprite or MG Midget.  It will fit all Spridget engines - 948, 1098 and 1275.  Unlike the other units on the market, this is a genuine Denso. Not a copy of the Denso imported from China.  The starter  has  modifications that are unique enough for the unit to have been granted a US patent.  Our gear is the correct size and pitch.  WE DO NOT have quality issues.  The correct wiring circuitry comes with the starter - no need to spend extra for  a "plug".

Kia Soulster concept unveiled at Detroit auto show 2009

Mon, 12 Jan 2009

By Ben Pulman Motor Shows 12 January 2009 13:48 To rub salt into the wounds of the beleaguered Big Three, Korean manufacturer Kia unveiled its own version of the iconic American pick-up truck at the Detroit auto show. But rather than a ultilitarian flat-bed, the Soulster concept is something at the very other end of the scale, designed to drum up interest in the Soul (on which it's based) before the B-segment baby goes on sale later in 2009. The Soulster concept was penned at Kia’s LA design studio – where the original Soul concept was created – and while there are no current production plans, company insiders have said that the right reaction from American customers could see the Soulster become a reality.

Drivers against remote stopping devices

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

EU PLANS to introduced remote stopping devices that can be activated by the police in an emergency have been met with concern by drivers. Under the proposed legislation a six-year timetable for remote stopping devices is planned with the aim of police being able to bring dangerous high-speed car chases to a halt. A device would be fitted to all cars that would allow a central control room to cut the ignition and fuel supply of any vehicle.

NY Times reporter says he followed Tesla's advice

Fri, 15 Feb 2013

A New York Times reporter says he was following the advice of Tesla employees when he drove an electric Model S sedan beyond its indicated range in an effort to reach a recharging station. Responding to a blog post by Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk highly critical of his original article, Times reporter John Broder on Thursday said he did not set out to sabotage the test drive -- refuting one of Musk's most-damning points. Broder also refutes Musk's claim that he drove the car around a parking lot in a deliberate attempt to fully discharge the battery -- Broder says he was looking for the recharge station in a poorly lighted rest stop at night.
