CAR Magazine South Africa launches ‘Design a Car’ competition

CAR Magazine in South Africa has announced its ‘Design a Car' competition, in an attempt to encourage aspiring South African designers. Entrants are asked to submit designs for a compact, environmentally friendly four-seater Jaguar that stays true to the brand's premium/sporty image for market introduction in 2015. Luma, the digital content creation company, will turn the winning design into a three-dimensional animation and it will also feature in a short promo film with a vehicle designed by CAR's own staff.

For them, Nissan has announced the addition of the FE+ 2.0 SR to the Sentra lineup. Previously, the only way to get a more aggressive looking Sentra from the factory was springing for SE-R models.

Audi will use E-tron name for electric cars

Audi plans to use the E-tron designation for its electric vehicles. Audi cars will carry the E-tron logo on their rear, similar to the way models now bear the "quattro" designation. Audi plans to produce an initial run of 100 units of its E-tron electric sports car at its factory in Ingolstadt, Germany, in 2012.
