Jeep Grand Cherokee (2007): first official pictures
Mon, 02 Apr 2007By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 02 April 2007 08:42 Jeep Grand Cherokee: not much has changed, has it? Nope - this is the mildest of mid-life refreshes, isn't it? Jeep has massaged the engines, shopped extensively at the gadget superstore and polished up the exterior design, but you'd be hard pressed to notice the new 2008 model-year Grand Cherokee.
Zonda R officially unveiled
Fri, 16 Jan 2009Pagani Zonda R – Only for the track With the Zonda about to bite the dust for an all new model in 2010/2011, Zonda has officially revealed the Zonda’s swansong – the track-only Zonda R. Looking like a super-version of the Zonda F (although with only 10% of the same components) the 7.3 litre AMG engined track car produces a huge 750 bhp, with a 0-60 of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 250mph. A complete new carbon fibre monocoque, carbon fibre intakes, a 6-speed sequential ‘box and an F1-style exhaust make this the meanest Zonda to hit the road (or the track, in this case).
New Longbridge production line
Thu, 31 May 2007By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 31 May 2007 10:10 Reborn MG opens its doors at Longbridge Yesterday marked the latest chapter in one of the genuine rollercoaster stories of our times: the rise and fall – and now yet another recovery – of car production at Longbridge, the spiritual home of some of the most famous nameplates in British car manufacturing. This time it’s the rebirth of MG, now in Chinese hands and back from a near-death experience since MG Rover collapsed in April 2005. Nanjing Automobile Corporation (NAC) is the oldest car maker in China and paid £50 million to snap up the MG brand and manufacturing rights, but can it really stand a chance with its new English project? The Chinese manufacturer is reviving the MG brand and, in Europe, the first model on sale will be the revised TF roadster on sale around September 2007.
