Car Design Awards winners benefit from Northumbria placement

阅读本文中文版本请点击这里 The winners of the inaugural Car Design Awards China competition were announced at a glamorous ceremony in the studios of CH-Auto during the Beijing auto show in April, marking the culmination of successful competition. Seven talented students – who had responded to briefs set by GM, PSA Peugeot Citroen, SAIC (with its MG brand) and Volkswagen – were presented with awards in five categories, and five were given the opportunity to attend Northumbria University's Transportation Design course, in the UK, on a two week placement. The five students – Bingyang Hu, Geng Li, Yanchao Wang, Kaiji Pu and Liang Chen – began this exciting, yet challenging journey in December 2009, when they entered the 2010 Car Design Awards China competition.

Staying on top of recalls is key to maintaining the safety and overall well-being of your vehicle.To make things easy, we've completed the following list of the most recent recalls involving Honda and Acura cars, crossovers and SUVs. 2012 Honda recalls: --December 12, 2012 — Honda is recalling 318,000 Honda Odyssey minivans, 259,000 Honda Pilot SUVs from the 2003 and 2004 model years, and 230,000 Acura MDX luxury SUVs from the 2003 through 2006 model years. Honda said a malfunction in the ignition-interlock feature of these vehicles could allow the key to be removed from the ignition before the car in has been placed in “park.” All but 64,000 of affected vehicles were sold in the United States.

Sinkhole Corvettes to be displayed before restoration

It's going to take a while to get the eight historic Chevrolet Corvettes that were consumed by a sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum two weeks ago out of that sinkhole -- just getting a specialized crane through the doors of the museum will take time. Afterward, though, the public will be able to get a look at them in their damaged state before Chevrolet has them restored. The museum has told the Detroit Free Press that the damaged cars will be on display at the National Corvette Museum from April through June of this year, once they're exhumed.
