Mini will bring John Cooper Works World Championship 50 to the United States
Mon, 12 Apr 2010Mini USA has confirmed that it will bring a limited number of the John Cooper Works World Championship 50 to the U.S. market after all. Previously, the company said that it would produce 250 of the hatch-based special editions and distribute them only in Europe.

But that process of building a MINI for every possible niche won’t complete until the MINI Countryman (and its coupe sibling, the MINI Paceman) are replaced. That now looks likely to happen in 2016 as, according to Automotive News, BMW is to end production of the MINI Countryman and Paceman at Magna Steyr in Austria in 2016 and move production of the Countryman and Paceman to Oxford and the new MINI Plant in the Netherlands.

Wed, 03 Sep 2014The College for Creative Studies (CCS) has appointed Sally Erickson Wilson as associate professor and chair of its new Master of Fine Arts degree program in Color and Materials Design. Erickson Wilson moves to the school from Johnson Controls where she was design manager responsible for leading the North American fabric design team. As chair of the course, Erickson Wilson will be responsible for the graduate curriculum and will help students to develop an eye for color differentiation, materials craftsmanship and quality assessment.
