Mini John Cooper Works WRC: the roll cage in detail
Wed, 06 Jul 2011Mini claims it’s created the safest WRC car ever – with a little help from Prodrive. And to prove the point, they’ve opened up the Mini Countryman WRC’s innards and spilled some of the secrets of its rollcage. Diesel hybrid cars avoid BIK penalty. Peugeot, Citroen & Volvo rejoice.

Even opting for a diesel car doesn’t help because, despite much better economy on the whole from diesels than petrol engined cars, HMRC adds an extra 3% to your BIK rate because diesels emit more of the stuff that matters – particulates and NOx – than a petrol-engined car.
Ecurie Ecosse racing car collection sells for £8.8 million
Tue, 03 Dec 2013Ecurie Ecosse is a name that will need no introduction to classic motorsport fans. In fact, Ecurie Ecosse won Le Mans twice – back-to-back in 1956 and 1957, securing two of the three victories there for Jaguar’s D-Type.
