Corvette deemed too much car for some Manchester United players

Wed, 05 Sep 2012

Apparently, Sir Alex Ferguson, the team's manager, believes that Chevy's most potent offering is a bit more than some of his young players will be able to handle. According to the Daily Mail, Chevrolet has offered the soccer team's top stars their pick of Chevrolet models, but the infamously strict Ferguson has issued an edict that no player under age 23 will be allowed to order a Corvette. Reports that effected players reacted to the news by flopping to the ground and tearfully writhing around could not be confirmed as of this writing.

However, its existence was officially denied until the weekend, when Mercedes-Benz's German language website configurator went live with various updates for the E-class lineup -- including an entry signaling the 9G-Tronic is now available on the standard rear-wheel drive E350 BlueTec in place of the older seven-speed.

Mercedes-Benz has previewed the next-generation S-Class by continued its series of sculptures with ‘Aesthetics S', set to be unveiled at the Paris motor show. The new relief-like sculpture is set to display the automaker's view of the design of the future luxury saloon through projected images that give a glimpse of the upcoming sedan. Depictions of the four previous S-Class models from the past – the model series W189, W108, W126 and W221 – it can also convey the impact of the S-Class tradition.
