Our father was a blue water sailor - he passed away earlier this year and we are settling his estate. Among other things, we are offering for sale this Autohelm Personal Compass with original instructions, lanyard, and box.  

The electronic Autohelm Personal Compass was made in England but is no longer being made, despite being considered an extremely useful piece of equipment for boating, hiking, and exploring. You can use this to take and store up to 9 bearings. Has a Compass mode, a Stop Watch mode, and a Race Start mode. Click here to learn more about this compass. 

This Autohelm Personal Compass is in excellent working condition and includes the original instructions, lanyard, and box. It does not include the mounting bracket. See photos.

Galpin Auto Sports Reveals 1000-hp GTR1

As you read this, Beau Boeckmann of Galpin Auto Sports should be pulling the cover off the GTR1, a 1000-hp supercar based on the Ford GT. Right about now the 3000 guests of The Quail should be oohing and ahhing at the car's Aston Martin “lightning silver” paint and subtly muscled haunches, probably hearing about how G.A.S. swapped out the supercharger on the 5.4-liter V8 and replaced it with twin 61-mm turbochargers making almost double the horsepower of the stock car.

Crystal Windham appointed Director of GM North American Passenger Car Design

Crystal L. Windham has been appointed Director of General Motors North American Passenger Car Design as of November 1, 2008. In her new position, Windham will head the interior design for the following architectures in GM North America: Global Midsize Car, Global Compact Car, and Global Small Car.
