Opel unveiled their new SUV at the opening of the new design center in Germany last week. Taking cues from the Antara GTC concept shown in Frankfurt last year, the production version shares its platform with the Chevrolet Captiva. More premium-feeling than the Captiva, the Antara combines the concept's "stylish-body-on-rugged-base" theme with shorter overhangs than the Chevrolet, though the roofline rises to accommodate the two additional doors.

With a wide range of projects investigating form language for existing brands, sustainability and some even bordering on fine art, the degree show featured the works of 15 students. Police advocate 'role reversal' for cyclists and truckers

BRITAIN’S most senior police officer has advocated a scheme to improve cyclists' and lorry drivers' understanding of each other's needs on the road following a spate of deaths. Metropolitan Police commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe said drivers and cyclists need to think about how they use the road. Speaking on LBC 97.3, he said: "It's a tragedy that we've had so many deaths in the last few days.
