Honda has recreated a Beat-style compact electric sports car at the 2011 Tokyo motor show - this stunning EV-STER concept car. It's tiny, at just 3570mm long and 1500mm wide. And those compact dimensions mean the electric powertrain doesn't need to be too big to power this two-seater sports coupe.

By Gareth Evans First Official Pictures 17 August 2009 12:30 Dutch supercar maker Spyker unveiled a prototype for its forthcoming C8 Aileron Spyder at the 2009 Pebble Beach concours d'elegance. It's a drop-top version of the company’s hand-crafted C8 Aileron and production versions are due early in 2010. There's a coupe version as well - which was unveiled at this year's Geneva motor show - and together the two cars mark Spyker's second generation of supercars after the original C8s.

Audi has challenged six international architects to present their vision for a future urban landscape that will explore the interplay between mobility, architecture and the city. The winner of the Audi Urban Future Awards will receive a €100,000 prize to be presented at the Venice Biennale in August. Phase one has been completed, with the contestants presenting their hypothesis for the city of the future at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London in May.
