This auction is for a set of the AutoTecknic Competition Steering Shift Paddles for the Nissan GTR. It's a direct replacement to the OEM shift paddles and below is AutoTecknic's description of the product:

As purists ourselves, we understand the goals of all car enthusiasts—to go as fast as possible while maintaining safety and a comfortable position in the pilot’s seat at the same time.

When it comes to piloting a vehicle, the driver is at optimum control when they become one with the car. In order to bring that concept to a reality, we developed these extended paddle shifters.

The GT-R in stock formation is a testament from Nissan, to develop the fastest road car to compete with supercars. During this meticulous development process, we wanted to craft a set of paddles which would maximize the communication between the driver, steering wheel, and of course, the GT-R’s smooth 6-Speed BorgWarner dual clutch transmission. To achieve this ideal, our paddles are designed to be 40% bigger compared to OEM ones. On top of that, the shape of the paddles is perfectly matched to the exact contours of the steering wheel, to provide optimal feedback for perfect shifts every time!

Pagani Zonda Revolucion (2013) first pictures of ultimate 790bhp Zonda

Tue, 04 Jun 2013

Is the new Pagani Zonda Revolucion the Nurburgring lap-record holder in waiting? The Zonda Revolucion (Revolution in Spanish) is a fettled version of the track-only Zonda R, boasting more power and F1-derived brake and aerodynamic know-how. It should easily be able to eclipse the Zonda R's record-breaking 6min 47sec Nürburgring lap time, but you’ll need fast money, too. Available to order now, the five Revolucions being produced will set you back an eye-watering €2.2m (£1.8m) each – plus taxes – and you still can't drive it on the road… For £1.8million, the Pagani Zonda Revolucion had better be packing some serious punch… Worry not: the mid-mounted 6.0-litre AMG V12 (normally aspirated still, rather than twin-turbocharged like the new Pagani Huayra in CAR's video review below) develops 789bhp – a 50bhp increase on the 2009 Zonda R's output.

Volkswagen XL1

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

This, remarkably, is the production version of the Volkswagen XL1, the most fuel-efficient production car in the world, a car we'll see in Geneva in a little over a week. Barely changed from the concept version shown at the Qatar motor show two years ago, the production XL1 is the first production result of VW's 1-liter project – to design a car that uses less than 1l/100km (282.5mpg imperial) – that started with the lozenge-shaped, tandem-seat 2003 1L and the later L1 of 2009. The XL1 actually beats that by sipping just 0.9 liters with CO2 emissions of 21g/km.

Lambrecht Chevrolet auction update: More detail on the cars

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

In about seven weeks, roughly 500 cars from Lambrecht Chevrolet in Pierce, Neb., will go across the auction block. And pre-bidding has already started on this massive time-capsule collection, accumulated over the course of many decades by Ray and Mildred Lambrecht, a husband and wife team who ran the dealership for more than 50 years. Autoweek will be in Pierce, Neb., to cover the sale in late September and to preserve a sample of the dust on the dealership floor for scientific study.
