Aviation Headset DRE 1001 HW with Gel Ear Seals Aircraft Helicopter Headphones

This DRE Communications aviation headset is in very good condition. 
This set was used by a major police department and was sold at an upscale city surplus auction.
The police department had replaced these with David Clark headsets.
It has dual volume control.
It has the gel ear seals with cloth covers all in excellent condition.
The top head pad shows just minor wear.
It is in need of a new foam mic cover but the existing one will be included.
The coiled cord is also in great condition with no bends or frays.
The single plug is stamped TP-120.
The flexible boom works great. 
Comes in the original box.
Cosmetically the set is in great shape just has the PD identification number written in marker which can be removed with alcohol.
The set weighs 1# 6oz.

BMW and Pininfarina to show Gran Lusso Coupé concept at Villa d'Este

BMW and Pininfarina have collaborated on a concept car – the Gran Lusso Coupé – for the 2013 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. Previewed in these teaser images, the gloriously glamorous-sounding Gran Lusso (lusso being Italian for ‘luxury') appears to fuse BMW iconography – the front fender vent, Hofmeister kink DLO and horizontal rear lamp treatment – with a little more Latin flair with a rocker that flicks up the rear lamp and joins the shoulder line. The full-width rear lamps also promise to be suitably exotic.

Chevrolet Volt uses parts made from oil-collecting booms

General Motors is transforming about 100 miles of boom material used to soak up oil in the Gulf of Mexico into auto parts for the Chevrolet Volt. The oil-soaked plastic material collected off the Alabama and Louisiana coasts will keep more than 100,000 pounds of waste from the nation's landfills. The project is expected to make enough plastic to supply the first-year production of Volts with plastic parts for under the hood.
