Awlgrip Fast Spray Reducer, 2 Quarts T001 on 2040-parts.com
High Point, North Carolina, United States
T0001 is usually used in Awlgrip and Awlcraft 2000 Topcoats. T0001 is also recommended for use in Quik-Grip Primer. Awlgrip reducers are chosen according to spray or brush application and anticipated temperature. Use T0001 in AWLGRIP® / AWLCRAFT® 2000 Top coats when application and cure temperatures are between 60°F to 70°F (16°C to 21°C) and 80°F to 90°F (27°C to 32°C). At 60°F to 70°F (16°C to 21°C), T0001 will keep the paint film open for good flow but evaporate fast enough to provide adequate dry and dust-free times. At higher temperatures, the solvency of T0001 helps maximize atomization. Its fast evaporation rate allows the solvent to exit the film before skinning occurs, avoiding solvent entrapment or solvent "pop" General Information: All of the listed reducers for Awlgrip and Awlcraft 2000 Topcoats can be blended with each other in any ratio to fine tune flow and Examples of total mix quantities for 1:1 and 2:1 base to converter ratios are as follows:
For specific reduction recommendations see individual product data sheets. NOTE: At higher temperatures, reducers evaporate faster. When painting in hot conditions increasing the amount of reducer in the mix by 5-10% will help compensate for this factor. |

Campaign Group Calls For Halt To 20mph Roll Out
Fri, 29 Aug 2014CAMPAIGN group Alliance of British Drivers (ABD) is calling for Government to halt the roll out of 20mph zones following further increases in 20mph accidents. The organisation has also questioned the motivation of proponents who continue to advocate a national roll out of 20mph zones, despite an ongoing Government investigation and claims of increased recorded accident statistics in current 20mph zones. In a recent survey of its members: 95% of Alliance of British Drivers' members believe that the roll out of 20mph zones and limits should be halted pending Government research into increased casualty statistics in current zones.
General Motors to keep green car technology in house
Wed, 12 Aug 2009For the first time in its 100-year history, General Motors plans to design, develop and manufacture electric motors for its growing array of gasoline-electric hybrids and electric vehicles. The electric motors used in GM's current lineup of hybrids are made to GM specifications by outside vendors. GM wants to bring the design and manufacturing in-house to save money and to apply its own technology to boost performance, lower weight and reduce power consumption, said Larry Nitz, GM's chief hybrid powertrain engineer.
Jaguar Land Rover installs UK's largest solar roof
Tue, 08 Apr 2014THE LARGEST EVER solar panel roof has been completed at the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) engine factory in South Staffordshire. More than 21,000 solar cells have been fitted to the roof over the Engine Manufacturing Centre and will provide enough electricity to power 30% of the factory’s needs. When the solar panels are working at full capacity, they will generate enough energy to power the equivalent of 1600 homes.
