Banks' larger, streamlined cast-metal High-Ram intake manifold flows air much more efficiently, providing greater boost without the drawback of raising turbine backpressure.

Product Overview:

Cooler, denser air packs real power. That's an absolute fact. So why would you choke off all that power-packed air at the last second on its way from the intercooler to the intake manifold? That's exactly what the stock air intake does.

The 3" Banks High-Ram changes all that. Designed on the computer using computational fluid dynamics, tested on the flow bench and proved on the dyno, High-Ram is much more than just another pretty air inlet. For even greater airflow with more power and improved throttle response, step-up to the 3½" Banks High-Ram system with Boost Tube.

Don't blow your last chance to add vital turbo boost to your engine. Whether you're just starting out or you've already made major aftermarket modifications, go for the Banks High-Ram.

FORD 6.0L Powerstroke:

In flow tests, the Ram-Air Intake delivers up to a 64% reduction in pressure loss. You'll enjoy improved acceleration and better fuel economy! Includes a 3-1/2" constant-diameter boost tube to flow the air from the intercooler without restriction.

NOTE: "Legal in California only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a highway"

BMW's yearlong Mini E trial exposes infrastructure problems

Mon, 21 Sep 2009

Early next decade, BMW of North America plans to sell an electric "megacity car" as a subbrand of BMW, similar to the brand's M high-performance cars. But further details are skimpy. BMW already is preparing for that launch.

Qoros GQ3: Chinese rival for the Ford Focus revealed

Sun, 23 Dec 2012

The first of a new range of cars from the Chinese Qoros brand – the Qoros GQ3 – has been revealed ahead of a debut at Geneva 2013. Three months ahead of that reveal Qoros has jumped in with a reveal of their first offering and some details about what it has on offer. Unsurprisingly, the reality is somewhat less exciting to look at than the dynamic-looking teaser image we saw last month. Planned to go on sale in both China and Europe during 2013 the Qoros GQ3 is aimed at young buyers, although why any car company would build a C-Segment saloon and expect young buyers to lap it up in Europe is beyond us.

Aston Martin Vantage gets V12, but we won't get the car

Wed, 04 Feb 2009

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage, the hottest version of the two-seat coupe, is the latest step in the automaker's new-model offensive for 2009. Revealed just days after the Rapide four-door, the V12 Vantage is the second of four major reveals from Aston this year. Also coming is the DBS convertible, which will share stand space at Geneva with the V12 Vantage and a concept for a new Lagonda, the dormant brand that Aston plans to bring back to life as a super-luxury Rolls-Royce/Maybach challenger.
