Chicago, Illinois, United States
These two items (the 2-bbl manifold and attached GM Rochester, 2-bbl carb were taken off a Chevy 283 engine but I don't know the year or model. Both the manifold and carb visually look fine (no cracks or chips) but neither has been tested. Please look at the photos carefully before you bid.
Brand:GM Warranty:No Manufacturer Part Number:370479, A275 GM3 Country/Region of Manufacture:United States

These two items were actually found in a barn!  The farm owner advised that they were taken off of a Chevy 283 engine.  The manifold is cast iron and is for a 2-bbl carb.  The carb is labelled GM, Rochester, 2-jet.  The carb will need a rebuild I'm sure but neither the carb nor manifold has any visual damage (no chips or cracks).  Forged numbers on top of cast iron manifold read: "A275" and "370479" (followed by a backward "C") above "GM3."  Please look at photos.  Successful bidder must pay shipping, which should be about $35 but actual shipping cost will be charged to the buyer.  The items are in Chicago (zip code: 60643).  Thanks for looking.

So we shouldn’t be surprised that it was the fun-filled decade that begat the supercar. The Lamborghini Miura was arguably first – and CAR’s own wizard of words, LJK Setright, penned the phrase that defined the breed: he called it the supercar.
