Volvo Group plans wirelessly charged bus line
Tue, 20 May 2014There's one bit of futuristic transportation technology that seems to get trotted out almost as often as autonomous cars, electric cars and flying cars: Inductive, or wireless, charging for city buses. It's not as sexy or as memorable as the perpetually out-of-reach commuter-grade Harrier jet, but it uses proven technology (GM's EV-1 uses inductive charging, as do electric toothbrushes) to save or eliminate fuel and to reduce emissions. Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8: Australia gets 1,000 but UK gets just 100
Thu, 26 Apr 2012Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 - just 100 coming to the UK The range-topping Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 arrives in the UK in the Autumn, but just 100 cars are allocated to the UK in the first year. We like just about everything that makes up the new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. We like its styling – still very US but with a welcome does of European panache; we like its interior – no longer an American plastic feast; we like it’s price – there’s a lot on offer for not silly money.
