Baron Flathead Ford Racing Engine Girdle This beautifully manufactured Tony Baron Ford flathead racing engine girdle has never been installed in an engine. It is brand new and was only removed from its box for photographing. This setup significantly stabilizes and fortifies a flathead’s lower end. These Baron caps are a vast improvement over stock Ford flathead engine main caps. These girdles are often used with larger displacement Ford flathead engines, and work extremely well with blown, injected, or Ardun overhead valve engines. Their workmanship and detail are incredible. I’m told by H and H Flatheads that Baron Racing sells this set up in the mid $800’s? You can purchase mine for less. 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible: First Photos
Mon, 24 Dec 2012We have the first photos of the 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible ahead of a reveal at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. Bentley hasn’t done the official reveal for the GT Sports Convertible yet, so all we have are the first photos in all their purpleness (although the DVLA thinks this particular Bentley is black). Under the skin we expect the same W12 with 616bhp and 590lb/ft of torque which is enough, certainly in the tin-top GT Speed, to get the monster Bentley to 62mph in 4.2 seconds and on to 205mph.
Toyota FT-86 II concept (2011) at 2011 Geneva motor show
Tue, 01 Mar 2011The wait for Toyota’s rear-wheel drive coupe is nearly over. The new Toyota FT-86 II was unveiled today at the 2011 Geneva motor show, alongside the Subaru version. The two sports cars are being co-developed and Toyota president Akio Toyoda makes no bones about his mission for the FT-86: ‘I want to transfer the thrill of the race track to our vehicles, and make driving fun and exciting for our customers,’ he said.
New Kia Magentis / Kia Optima (2011) revealed
Sun, 14 Mar 2010Kia will reveal the 2011 Magentis/Optima at the New York Motor Show in April Hot on the heels of the sketches we saw of the 2011 Kia Magentis just before the Geneva Motor Show, we now get a photo of Kia’s take on the Hyundai i40 (well, a CGI anyway). Which does seem a long lead time. We know that Kia intend to show the Magentis/Optima at the New York Motor Show next month, but we’re not expecting to see the Magentis in showrooms until 2011.
