Aston Martin Vanquish Carbon Edition – costs £200,000

Sun, 14 Sep 2014

The Aston Martin Vanquish Carbon Edition in Carbon White It’s only a month since the 2015 Aston Martin Vanquish (and Vanquish Volante) were revealed with a series of updates that manage to turn the Vanquish in to a much more appealing car. That new appeal is mainly down to AML finally ditching their ancient six-speed auto ‘box and replacing it with a new 8-Speed ZF ‘box – which cleverly sits inside the old housing – increasing performance, drivability and economy in one fell swoop. The Vanquish now gets to 62mph in a very respectable 3.8 seconds and can top 200mph, despite which official economy improves to 31mpg (more like 16mpg in the real world).

Subaru BRZ STI teased

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

Subaru are teasing the BRZ STI (pictured) The Subaru BRZ – the Subaru take on the Toyota GT86 – has the potential to be a lot more hardcore than its current setup allows. That has led to much speculation that Subaru will bolt a turbo on to the BRZ’s Boxer engine to produce a BRZ with something closer to the 300bhp we originally expected. In fact, at the end of 2011, Subaru in the US confirmed there would be a turbo version of the engine in the BRZ, although they fell short of actually confirming the BRZ itself would get it as an option, but at the end of 2012 we had a report that the BRZ will get the turbo engine and that it will deliver 280bhp.

Lincoln's big ad is a FAIL, LOL, OMG

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

The automotive punditsphere mocked Lincoln's "Steer The Script" campaign when it was announced, in typical teaser form, a few months ago. Well, here it is -- what's essentially the culmination of Lincoln's hopes and dreams; its big comeback splash to the largest American audience of the year, distilled into a breathtaking work of staggering incompetence. Sometimes, the pundits are right.
