Stand alone external charger....not available from Garmin® LTD: This is the quick and efficient way to charge your Garmin X76, X78 and X96 series GPS. You no longer have to use your expensive unit, costing over $2,000, just to charge a battery. If you have more than one battery this is the only solution. About: This DE496 charger charges your Garmin 296,396,495,496 battery. We found that many pilots and mariners needed to charge several Garmin GPSMAP 296, 396, 495, and 496 8.4Volt LI ION batteries. We alone produce this stand alone battery charger. It comes with the US standard 110-240 VAC cord and a 12V automotive cord. (Also works with Garmin 478, 378, 278, 376C, & 276C marine units.) This auction is for the charger only, and does NOT include a battery. How it works: This is a stand alone charger. Insert the Garmin 8.4 Volt lithium battery into the charger. If the battery needs a charge the LED will light up red. It takes several hours to recharge a completely discharged battery. When the battery is fully charged the LED will turn green. You may keep the battery in the charger and it will not overcharge. The charger also resets the battery charge indicator through the circuit in the battery.

Porsche Boxster Speedster – on its way
Fri, 18 Sep 2009A Porsche Boxster 'Speedster' spotted at the Nurburgring It looks like the Boxster Speedster (or maybe Boxster R?) will get the double-hump behind the seats and be a stripped-out and more powerful version of the current Boxster. Could it get more power as well as being lighter? Hard to say, but we can live in hope.
