Safe, 4-step Battery Charging
The Battery Tender Plus 12-volt/1.25-amp Battery Charger is much more than a trickle charger. Powered by BTP microprocessor technology, it has a "brain". Utilizing a 4-step charging program (initialization, bulk charge, absorption mode and float mode), it allows you to simply connect the charger to a battery, either in or out of a vehicle, and forget about it until you are ready to put the battery to work. Like all Battery Tender chargers, at the end of the regular charger cycle the it automatically switches its output voltage to a safe, storage or float level that eliminates the need to worry about the damaging effects of overcharging, and the resulting need to check on the condition of the battery. If or when the battery voltage drops too far under load, output power resumes and the charging cycle begins again. As with all concept cars, the Jaguar C-X17’s interior is the least production-viable element of the entire design, but it does give vital clues to the direction that design boss Ian Callum and his team are evaluating for the future. The focus is on clean, strong, flowing design, one that shuns clutter for pared-back simplicity. Open the door and you’ll notice both the sense of space and the small F-type steering wheel and four individual bucket seats, the latter two elements suggesting a nimble, involving driving experience.

Mercedes brings virtual reality to life

MERCEDES-BENZ has created a real-life version of the racing car it designed for the Playstation 3 racing game Gran Turismo 6. Called the Mercedes-benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo, the full-size concept car previews the one that will appear in the computer game. The real-life racer takes its inspiration from Mercedes’ 1950’s racing cars, except the Vision Grand Turismo has LED lights where the classic racers had louvres.
