German premium brands go SUV crazy: 10 new 4x4s coming

It’s been happening for a while, of course, but CAR can reveal that no fewer than 10 - ten! - new 4x4s are on the drawing boards at Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

Brits taking risks abroad

THOUSANDS of British drivers risk breaking down or paying an expensive repair bill while on holiday in Europe. More than a quarter of UK drivers head to the continent without checking their car or having it serviced in preparation for a long journey. The Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) found 33% of drivers make no effort to check their car, motorbike or motorhome before going on holiday.

New Images: Subaru Hybrid Tourer

Subaru has released additional images of its Hybrid Tourer concept, which the company will reveal at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show next week. The environmentally friendly design study is claimed to be a grand touring car with enhanced performance and safety attributes.
