The Ideal Companion to a Performance Transmission and Torque Converter! The power and torque that modified 5.9L and 6.7L Cummins engines deliver can crack or even shatter the stock flex plate. BD’s FleX-Plate is designed specifically for modified applications, and can reliably handle up to 1,500 lb.-ft. of torque. Twice as thick as the stock unit and made from forged steel, the BD FleX-Plate is precision-balanced and SFI-certified for use in race sanctioning bodies. Plus, a new black oxide coating resists corrosion, and prevents hydrogen embrittlement that can cause cracking. The BD FleX-Plate is a direct, bolt-in replacement for the stock converter and is also compatible with most aftermarket torque converters. Great for stock, towing or racing applications! BD Flexplate now 29.3SFI Approval We are proud to announce that our BD Flexplate has now passed the newley created SFI 29.3 version testing. It is a much more stringent test for safety than the old 29.1. The 29.3 test is specific to the high horsepower Diesel motors only. This again points to the BD Flexplate as being the best in the industry.

New Range Rover Sport in New York

Wed, 08 Apr 2009

The newly refreshed Range Rover Sport takes at bow at the New York Motor Show Land Rover are working hard to keep their main models up to date and fresh before an all new set of cars arrives in a couple of years. And the big news with the Range Rover Sport is really under the skin. Out goes the old supercharged 4.2 and the somewhat breathless 2.7 diesel, and in comes the brute of a 5.0 litre supercharged lump from Jaguar that has also gone in to the new Range Rover (and the LR4 – but not for the UK – why not?), and the terrific 3.0 litre diesel that also graces the Jaguar.

CCTV parking fines could be banned

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

COUNCILS in England could be banned from using CCTV cameras and "spy cars" to impose parking fines on motorists under new government proposals. Local Government Secretary Eric Pickles has said he wants to curb "overzealous" local authorities which use cameras to maximise their income from parking fines. He warned that public support for CCTV could be undermined if people believed they were being used to generate revenue rather than preventing crime.

New Fiat Panda Cross is a rugged Panda 4×4 baby SUV

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

The new Fiat Panda Cross (pictured) debuts at Geneva It might not be the top of everyone’s wish list as a baby SUV, but the Fiat Panda Cross has always been better than you’d imagine, and the latest Panda Cross – revealed ahead of a debut at the Geneva Motor Show – looks even more able than the last Panda Cross and better looking too. The 2014 Fiat Panda Cross (although it will really be a 2015 model by the time it arrives in the UK) looks like a proper baby SUV thanks to its new front bumper with a satin titanium skid plate full of round cut-outs, new back bumper with skid plate, new lights, big wheel arches, roof bars and a new set of 15″ alloys (with ‘All Seasons’ 185/65R15 tyres), whilst the interior gets Climate, Blue&Me Infotainment and height-adjustable driver’s seat. The Panda Cross also gets proper baby SUV toys like automatic drive between the axles according to grip, torque control of individual wheels when off-road and hill descent control for controlled downhill descents.
