Woman ticketed for driving with Google Glasses
Sun, 03 Nov 2013A Californian woman is thought to be the first ever motorist to receive a ticket for driving while wearing ‘Google Glass’ computer spectacles. Cecilia Abadie was written up under a state law banning drivers from watching TV behind the wheel, which the officer in question believed Ms Abadie’s transgression fell under. Local Motors Announces Alaska Motors Competition Winners
Wed, 03 Feb 2010Startup American independent car company Local Motors has announced the winner of its Alaska Motors competition, which called for entrants to design a concept vehicle for the Wrangell Mountain Extreme, a made-up race that takes place in the grueling Alaskan frontier. Challenged to design a conceptual vehicle for the most difficult environmental conditions, designers competed for Wacom prizes and the finalists were then chosen by the community, as they have been for the last 17 competitions. Coming in first place was recent Strate College graduate Anthony Colard for his 'B-Polar' concept, a vehicle that features a unique moving chassis with a rotating axis around its fuel tank allowing it to easily maneuver through rough terrain.

Fri, 07 Mar 2014The BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe lands in Geneva The big news from BMW at the Geneva Motor Show has been the arrival of the production version of the new X4, rather overshadowing the European debut of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe. Which is a shame. It’s a shame because the 4 Series Gran Coupe is a very good looking car – as is its big brother, the 6 Series Gran Coupe – even if we struggle to see how BMW are going to manage to differentiate it sufficiently from the new 3 Series saloon.
