Mon, 10 Mar 2014The Range Rover Autobiography Black (pictured) The arrival of the new Range Rover in 2012 pushed the Range Rover even more upmarket, with the £100k Range Rover becoming a norm and some buyers speccing their RRs way beyond that. Land Rover has already responded to the obvious desire of buyers to make their Range Rovers more and more opulent with the arrival of the Range Rover Autobiography Black (pictured above) with an even greater standard spec and a longer wheelbase too. But now it seems Land Rover are starting to ready themselves for the inevitable arrival of Bentley’s SUV in the next couple of years (and probably and SUV from Rolls Royce too) with an even higher spec model.
Ferrari Myth exhibition opens in Shanghai
Fri, 18 May 2012Spreading the gospel of Enzo, Ferrari opened its Myth exhibition at the Italian Center in the Shanghai Expo Park on May 18. To help develop the second-largest market for Ferrari, the three-year exhibit is the Italian manufacturer's way of showing the Chinese public the history, cars and technology of Ferrari. The exhibit has five areas: Ferrari in China, Green, Product, Design and Racing.
Rolls Royce 102EX: Electric Phantom revealed
Tue, 01 Mar 2011Electric Rolls Royce Phantom Rolls Royce has taken the wraps of its experimental electric Phantom at Geneva – Rolls Royce 102EX – and they certainly haven’t done things by halves. Rolls Royce engineers have taken the regular engine out of the Phantom and replaced it with a pair of electric motors rated at 145 kWh and possibly the biggest lithium-ion battery bank on four wheels. The Phantom EV uses five lithium-cobalt-manganese-oxide (or NCM) pouch cells which form the shape of the engine and live under the bonnet.
