Endurance-drivers seminar highlights Amelia Island concours
Sun, 11 Mar 2012If there were a Hall of Fame for endurance drivers, the nine gentlemen assembled on Saturday at the 17th-annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance would certainly be members. Event founder and chairman Bill Warner needed 25 minutes just to read off a portion of their lifetime racing accomplishments as he introduced them individually to a packed ballroom at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, home of the event. Hurley Haywood, Vic Elford, Sam Posey, Joe Buzzetta, Gerard Larousse, Brian Redman, Jim Hall, David Hobbs and Derek Bell regaled the audience with tales of their amazing careers.

Penned by Pininfarina, the Deauville is a luxury sport sedan, meausing in at over 5000mm in length and almost 2000mm in width; the car seemingly attempts to blend genres, resulting in a high riding, four-wheel drive sports hatch.
Steve McQueen motorcycle for sale at the Quail
Fri, 29 Apr 2011If you've ever wanted to own a piece of two-wheeled memorabilia, or just have a good piece of Americana, Bonhams' third-annual Quail Motorcycle Gathering has your chance. The 1971 Husqvarna 400 that the King of Cool, Steve McQueen owned will cross the block on May 14 at the Quail Lodge in Carmel, Calif. It is not, as Bonhams previously implied, the actual bike that was on the famous Sports Illustrated cover.
