Hydrogen powered London Taxis hit the road

Sun, 06 Nov 2011

Hydrogen powered London Taxi revealed last Summer Over two years ago London Mayor, Boris Johnson, promised we would have a ‘Hydrogen Highway’ in London in time for the 2012 Olympics, with a small fleet of 150 cars, 20 black cabs and 5 buses all running on Hydrogen. He also said that London would have half a dozen hydrogen refuelling stations and, in typically ‘Boris’ style, proclaimed that Britain would become a ‘World Leader in Fuel Cell Technology’ and that one in three cars would be powered by hydrogen by 2020. And although we took Boris’s proclamations with a pinch of salt, we were pleased to see a senior politician seeing the future as something other than plug-in BEVs.

2012 Mercedes A-Class undisguised on video

Thu, 02 Feb 2012

The new A-Class caught on video on Lanzarote The 2012 Mercedes A-Class will launch at Geneva next month, and we have the first undisguised video and photo of the new A-Class. Mercedes-Benz has already confirmed that the new 2012 Mercedes A-Class will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and that it’s the five-door A-Class that will hit the road first. Which means Mercedes are out shooting footage for the launch of the A-Class, and a sharp-eyed cyclist has managed to grab a brief bit of footage of the new A-Class on the road to Playa Blanca on Lanzarote as Mercedes went about their work.

2014 Porsche Panamera V6 Diesel Facelift gets more power

Mon, 02 Sep 2013

The 2014 Porsche Panamera V6 Diesel Facelift (pictured) gets more power When Porsche revealed the facelift for the Panamera in April, we commented that we could expect a new V6 diesel to arrive in the Panamera for 2014 with around 300bhp. And here it is. The new Porsche Panamera V6 diesel gets the same tweaks to bumpers and lights as the rest of the range – and modest though they are, they do make the Panamera look a little less bulbous – but the most appealing news is a bit more oomph from Porsche’s entry-level diesel Panamera.
