Fuji Heavy Industries, manufacturer of Subaru vehicles and aerospace-related products, today announced the introduction of the Subaru Stella, an all-new mini car for the Japanese market. The Stella follows the 'Think.Feel.Drive' message delivered by the Subaru B5-TPH concept at the Tokyo Motor Show last year, albeit in somewhat less glamorous clothes. Motorists still not switched on to electric cars

Renault A new survey of 3,000 British motorists suggests there is still a long way to go before electric cars become a serious purchasing choice for the majority, with many saying the government isn’t doing enough to promote them. According to the latest Auto Trader Owner’s Guide, only 1% of UK drivers own what it calls an Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV). The poll also illustrates some significant age and gender divides, and shows that price continues to be a serious hindrance to more environmentally friendly motoring.

Vettel F1 helmet sold for £72,000

A HELMET belonging to four times World Formula 1 champion Sebastian Vettel has been sold for a world record £72,000 in a charity auction. The safety gear, signed by Vettel himself, was a Red Bull-sponsored helmet by Arai designed around Germany's national colours. It was worn during the Nurburgring Grand Prix race weekend in Germany this year - where Vettel celebrated his first home victory.
