STAR GP HELMET WHITE 7-3/4 SA10

The GP.2 combines advanced F1 styling, an innovative air intake system for maximum ventilation and leading-edge aerodynamic performance. The Snell SA2010/FIA8858

GP.2 is a fantastic choice for open wheel, formula racers and karters who demand superior features, light weight and excellent fit. The redesigned GP.2 features a front aero chin bar, an ultra-lightweight carbon composite shell, pro-style interior for outstanding comfort and a front air intake that forces air into the helmet's forehead vents for maximum ventilation.

The .200mm GP.2 air intake is replaceable and the helmet can be used without the air intake. The direct flow upper and lower chin bar vents on the front of the helmet help to increase airflow and prevent shield fogging. In addition to the air intake, the GP.2 has been designed to work with Bell's aero kits including chin bar gurneys, top gurneys and rear spoilers to configure the helmet for all open wheel and open compartment forms of racing depending on aerodynamic requirements and environment. While the GP.2 has a front aero lip and chin bar designed into the helmet, these aerodynamic kits enhance helmet performance to provide greater helmet stability at higher speeds.

The GP.2 is certified to the Snell SA2010 and the FIA8858 standard. The FIA8858 certification requires the helmet to be tested for use with Head and Neck Restraint Devices. Bells M6 terminal hardware is incorporated into the helmet shell and accepts anchor systems.

The GP.2 takes a 287 SRV Shield which features the SRV-1 pivot system and thumb tab on the drivers left side to allow for easy shield operation. The GP.2 incorporates Bell's redesigned face piece with recessed areas that allow for seamless radio integration and easy installation. Racers can also customize the fit of the GP.2 by using Bell's Cheek Pad Inserts in 5mm, 10mm, 15mm and 20mm sizes to tighten the fit in the cheek area. The GP.2 is available in size 6 3/4 (54) to 7 3/4 (62) in the standard white color.

Customers buying the GP.2 also may be interested in accessory items including an anti-fog double screen shield insert to eliminate fogging in high humidity environments, chin cover seals (small, medium and large) that seal the bottom chin bar area of the helmet and a breath deflector which installs at the top of the chin bar and directs breath downward to prevent shield fogging.

Wed, 03 Sep 2014

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 03 September 2014 00:01 This is the new 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport, a replacement for the Freelander, and the model that kick-starts the rejuvenation and expansion of the Discovery family. For the past four years it’s been Land Rover’s Range Rover brand getting all the love and attention, first with the Evoque (originally shown as the Land Rover-badged LRX concept), then the full-size Range Rover, and most recently with the Range Sport and LWB Range Rover. Now the focus is shifting, and it’s the turn of the Discovery nameplate, which will grow to encompass a full family of family-focused SUVs.

Is the Volkswagen BlueSport Roadster back on?

Sun, 05 May 2013

There was talk that VW needed at least three of its brands to take the BlueSport project in to production, and there was talk not just of a VW Bluesport but also a SEAT BlueSport, one from Skoda, another from Audi and even a Porsche BlueSport. But in the end, not a single part of VW’s vast group seemed enamoured enough with the BlueSport to take the project forward. But it now looks as though the idea of the BlueSport is far from dead, with VW’s design boss, Walter de Silva, declaring that he’s a big fan of the BlueSport project, and he’s far from the only one in the VW Group who feels the same.
