The Infusion EV features a huge eyeport (largest
available in the Bell line) and builds on the versatility of the Star
Infusion and BR-1 models. The
Infusion EV (Extended Vision) is SA2010/FIA8858 certified. Sold in the standard helmet configuration, the Infusion EV
features a new rubber visor seal to prevent dust and dirt from entering
the helmet, pro-style comfort interior and a lightweight composite
shell. The Bell Infusion EV Helmet carries the Snell
SA2010/FIA8858 ratings which certify it for use in competitive racing
until the end of the year 2020.
By utilizing an
innovative kit system, racers who prefer a wide eyeport can now
customize the Infusion EV to adapt to different forms of racing. Thanks
to the versatility of the Infusion EV, racers can use the helmet as a
standard model or add full ventilation to the helmet by installing
either the side (left) forced air or top forced air kit. By using the
kit system, racers can easily switch the Infusion EV to the appropriate
configuration for their type of racing. The Infusion EV incorporated
Bell’s air chamber technology to increase pressure and accelerate
airflow (when used with an external forced air system) to maximize
airflow for improved ventilation and comfort.
The Infusion EV
is certified to the Snell SA2010 and the FIA8858 standard. The FIA8858
certification requires the helmet to be tested for use with Head and
Neck Restraint Devices. Bell's M6 terminal hardware is incorporated into the helmet and accepts Head and Neck Restraint anchor system hardware. The Infusion EV is compatible with FIA8858-2010 and is recognized by the FIA for use outside of North America.
The Infusion EV takes a 288 (3MM) SRV Shield which features the SRV-1
pivot system and thumb tab on the drivers left side to allow for easy
shield operation. Each helmet comes with a clear shield and Bell visor
strip as standard equipment. The Infusion EV also features Bell's
redesigned face piece with recessed areas that allow for seamless radio
integration and easy installation. Detailed Specs - Huge Eyeport for Extended Vision

This helmet carries the Snell SA2010 rating which is approved for use until the end of the year 2020. The
rating refers to the standard date the helmet adheres to. The ones you
are likely see are SA2005, SA2010, and SA2015. Every 5 years, Snell releases
a new standard which is a new series of tests the helmets must pass in
order to receive the new rating. The rating a helmet receives generally
means it's legal for use in most event types for 10 years from the
rating:
- SA2005 - Good until 2015
- SA2010 - Good until 2020
This helmet carries the Snell SA2010 rating which is approved for use until the end of the year 2020.
Bell Helmet Sizing
Proper helmet fit is vital to the performance of a helmet during an impact. For the helmet to perform properly during an impact, it must stay securely on the head.
Measuring the head is only a starting point for the entire sizing procedure. Due to varying shapes, heads that are apparently the same size when measured may not necessarily fit the same size helmet.
A
small metal tape measure or a cloth tape may be used to make your
initial measurement. You can also use a string, which can then be laid
against a measuring tape.
Measure the head from a point one
inch above the eyebrows and around the back of the head that results in
the largest possible measurement.
Take several measurements. The largest measurement is the one you want to use.

BMW X3 M Sport Package - on sale Spring 2011
BMW has taken the wraps off a bit of butchness for the 2011 BMW X3 with the reveal of the M Sports Package. Which won’t surprise regular readers much as we reported on the 2011 BMW X3 M Sports Package as far back as July. Still, it’s nice that BMW has got round to making it official.

Part 2 of the Freelander 2 Raod Test and review
If you look at the Freelander 2 and compare its style to its modern rivals – such as the Audi Q5 – it looks a bit staid and frumpy. But change your perspective just a little and it becomes a convincing interpretation of an urban Land Rover. It’s bigger then its predecessor – taller and wider with an extra 4″ in the wheelbase – and it feels a much more grown-up vehicle than it was.

The McLaren P13 is due to arrive in 2015 and we’re expecting it to get a de-tuned version of the 3.8 litre V8 already found in the 12C (pictured above) and P1, and be priced to take on the almost empty sector (in terms of price) the Porsche 911 Turbo occupies - somewhere around £125k. It’s a sensible plan to fill a potentially lucrative sector of the supercar market with a mid-engined, rear wheel drive ‘baby’ supercar with performance of around 3.8 seconds to 60mph and stunning handling. It should give the 911 Turbo a run for its money.
