Lightweight TriMatrix composite shell uses a special layup of carbon fiber, Kevlar and fiberglass to create the durable but feathery shell of the Star
Unique shape derived from open-cockpit auto racing designs enhances stability and resists lift

For track days, the Star comes with the Track Strip, a wicker that adds stability at speeds above 130 mph
Ventilation:
The Star features Bell's exclusive Velocity Flow Ventilation (VFV) system that maximizes airflow
Flow Separator ridge which harnesses the high-velocity airflow over the top of the helmet and creates a natural airflow engine that literally pulls air through the internal venting system, keeping the rider cool and dry
For cooler weather conditions the VFV's FlowAdjust allow the rider to dial in just the right amount of airflow to stay comfortable by opening or closing a series of ventilation intake ports on two crown vents and a four-intake brow port
The upper port of the chin vent directs air to the shield to prevent fogging, while the lower port circulates air to the chinbar and cheekpads
Shield:
3Mode shield allows for instant on-bike shield adjustments, and allows for one-finger toggling between Lock Mode, which locks the shield down, Friction Mode, which allows for easy movement of the shield up and down and Crack Mode, which disengages the shield and lifts it 1/4" to prevent fogging

Dutch factory announced for new Mini
Tue, 18 Feb 2014THE NEW Mini is to be built in Holland as well as the UK, owner BMW has announced. The German motor giant said production of the Mini Hatch will be split between its factory in Oxford and a site in Nedcar in Born. Around 1,500 workers will build the new Mini in Holland from this summer at a factory run by BMW's Dutch partner VDL Nedcar.
Business groups call for Severn tolls cut
Mon, 30 Dec 2013BUSINESS groups are calling for a reduction in the Severn Bridge tolls as soon as the famous structure comes into public ownership. Following the recent announcement that tolls will be set to increase, the Federation of Small Businesses in Wales and the Freight Transport Association (FTA) have called for the tolls to be reduced to a level that only covers maintenance. In a joint statement the groups expressed their concern for the negative impact the increased tolls could have on the southern Welsh economy.
