The Star Infusion NV is the non-ventilated version of the Star Infusion and comes in a standard non-vented configuration with a positive eyeport seal to keep dust out for those that race on dirt. The helmet can be adapted to a top forced air model using Bell’s innovative kit system for those drivers that decide they want to use an external forced air unit. Based on the Star Infusion design and built on innovations first developed in the Bell Infusion, the Star Infusion NV is the ultimate in forced air helmet technology. Developed with feedback from the world's best NASCAR, Late Model and Modified drivers, the SA2010/FIA8858 Star Infusion is a great choice for racers who want a non-ventilated helmet with the option of using a forced air system if needed.
The Star Infusion NV is SA2010/FIA8858 certified, available in sizes 7 1/8 to 7 3/4 in white and rubberized matte black. The Star Infusion NV features and ultra-lightweight composite shell, high-tech aggressive aero styling and a pro-plus style interior that provides superior comfort. The pro-plus interior delivers a custom interior fit by combining Bell’s soft plush-density fit pad system, contoured cheek-grip pad system to reduce movement and integrated collar that is designed to fully support the driver’s lower jaw bone area. With the versatility of the Star Infusion NV, racers can decide if they want use the helmet as a non-ventilated model or top forced air model. Sold in the non-ventilated configuration, the helmet can be transformed into a top forced air helmet (top air kit sold separately). The Star Infusion NV incorporates Bell's ground-breaking air chamber technology to increase pressure and accelerate airflow (when used with an external forced air system) to maximize airflow for improved ventilation and comfort. In the top forced air configuration, the Star Infusion NV divides the air inflow evenly in vent channels that direct ventilation to the front of the helmet to cool the face and prevent shield fogging and into the top of the helmet liner, evenly dispersing airflow to cool the driver around the top of the head.

McLaren P1 gets 903bhp
Wed, 20 Feb 2013McLaren has revealed that their new supercar – the McLaren P1 – will deliver 903bhp and have emissions below 200g/km. The McLaren P1 will get 727bhp from its 3.8 litre V8 with an additional 176bhp coming from an electric motor for a combined power delivery of 903bhp, with the V8 contributing 531lb/ft of torque and the electric motor an instant 192lb/ft for a combined torque of 664lb/ft at 4000rpm. The boost from the electric motor is instantly available at the flick of a button on the steering wheel – McLaren call it Instant Power Assist System (IPAS) – which instantly throws more additional power to aid the McLaren’s V8 than a pair of Fiestas can manage.

The levels of ‘aggressive, impatient and inconsiderate’ driving increase at this time of year, according to the survey of an unspecified number of car owners. Nearly a quarter (23%) of respondents said that things like lane hogging, failing to indicate properly - or at all - and not letting other motorists out at junctions was a real problem at this time of year.
