Bell-XFM-1-Classic-Auto-Racing-Helmet-SA2010-FIA8858-All-Sizes-Colors

The XFM-1 Classic helmet is an updated version of the famous Bell open wheel helmet first introduced in 1979. The XFM-1 Classic is produced to the most current safety standard (Snell SA2010) using modern construction techniques and composite materials.

The original XFM-1 was the first carbon composite helmet produced by Bell and was the next evolution in full face helmet design as it was developed exclusively for auto racing. In addition to the lightweight shell, the original XFM-1 was the first model to have a fire retardant interior as standard equipment and featured Bell’s positive eyeport seal to prevent dust and dirt from entering the helmet.

The updated XFM-1 Classic features the traditional XFM-1 shape and detent style shield with duel lock down buttons. The helmet also has removable cheek pads that can be replaced for a more custom fit. The XFM-1 Classic is SA2010/FIA8858 certified and available in white in sizes S to XL.

The XFM-1 Classic is a perfect choice for classic car enthusiasts, historic car drivers and vintage racers who want to replicate the look of famous racing champions and legends from the 1980’s but demand modern comfort, performance and technology.

*Accessories: Shields, Tearoffs, Han Post, etc. can be added to your order at an additional cost.

Measure the circumference of the head at a point approximately one inch above the eyebrows in front, and at a point in the back of the head that results in the largest possible measurement. Take several measurements. The largest measurement is the one you want to use. Please don't guess your size or go by the size of a previously owned helmet. Helmet manufactures vary in size.

New De Tomaso Pantera at Frankfurt

Tue, 12 Jul 2011

What is thought to be the new Pantera leaving the De Tomaso facility So far all we’ve officially had from the new De Tomaso, now run by ex Fiat man Gian Mario Rossignolo, is the not particularly well-received De Tomaso Deauville at Geneva in the Spring. It seemed an odd route for the revived De Tomaso to go, and an odd choice of name. The Deauville seems to be halfway between the (poor-selling) BMW 5-Series GT and a Porsche Cayenne.

Hyundai ix35 FCEV Hydrogen Fuel Cell in production by end 2012

Fri, 17 Aug 2012

Hyundai will have its hydrogen powered ix35 FCEV in production by the end of 2012 with full production by 2015. We’ve spotted the Hyundai ix35 FCEV (that’s the hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle) out in South Korea sporting a new nose a couple of times recently, which apparently doesn’t signal a facelift for the ix35. What it does signal is Hyundai’s commitment to the hydrogen fuel cell as the most sensible fuel for cars in the future and to remove our dependency on oil, and Hyundai has been out promoting that message in London.

Alfa Romeo 8C GTA & Alfa MiTo GTA Spied

Sun, 16 May 2010

The Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA & Alfa Romeo 8C GTA Spied Through the early part of last year we were convinced Alfa Romeo were going to launch a halo version of that cracking little car the MiTo, and bring the GTA badge out of the history box at the same time to create the Alfa MiTo GTA. Blimey, we not only managed to report details of the MiTo GTA but even had a video from Alfa of the MiTo GTA concept running around. But that all seemed to go out of the window when reports started flying round the car world last July that the Alfa MiTo GTA was dead and the hottest we’d get was the Alfa Romeo MiTo Quadrifoglio, although on both occasions we expressed the belief – probably more in hope than expectation – that Alfa would give us the MiTo GTA.
