Removed by Penn Avionics from TB21GT Trinidad in October 2013. Always hangared, no faint, no scratches. Comes with Honeywell data card, KAC 503 FIS (Weather) Module, Part No. 071-00168-0311; and KAC 504 Traffic Module, Part No. 071-00166-044. Comes with fresh yellow tag (FAA Form 8130-3) by Penn Avionics. The third picture shows how the unit looked in the Trinidad's panel.


Unit displays maps, terrain, obstacles, lightening, XM weather, and with a radar module added, it would also display radar. Download and see Bendix/King KMD 540 pilot's manual from the Internet for detail. This unit was interfaced with a KDR 610 (Headsup Technologies) XM data receiver for weather, a stormscope for lightening display, and a KT 73 Mode S transponder for Mode S traffic. It was also interfaced with a Garmin GNS 530W GPS for superimposing flight plan path on maps, weather, and traffic screens.

Popular British television show Top Gear has been sued by electricc-car maker Tesla Motors Inc. over an episode that Tesla says is libelous. Tesla says the show faked a scene showing the electric-powered Tesla Roadster running out of power.

Land Rover Expedition America presses on through the Rocky Mountains

Land Rover Expedition America is more than halfway across the country, three weeks after having departed Asheville, N.C., on their 5,000-mile route through 10 states. The team is traveling all the way across the country in three Land Rover LR4s -- from sea to shining sea if you will -- almost entirely off-road. The Oregon coast is their destination, and the team is following a route based on an off-road motorcycle trailed created by Sam Corero, a famous off-road motorcyclist who charted this trail back in the 1990s.
