But then it is 20 years since the team that created the McLaren F1 was first brought together, as yesterday’s F1 photos and info from McLaren were keen to tell us. All that needs to be written about the McLaren F1 already has been, but one thing we haven’t really covered in any detail before is the F1′s top speed record of 240.1mph, which stood as the world record top speed for a production car until the Bugatti Veyron stole that crown.

Sat, 12 Jan 2013German tuners Arden are planning to deliver a Jaguar F-Type V8 R ahead of Jaguar with the promise of a 550bhp version on offer. The new Jaguar F-Type isn’t going to start arriving in the hands of customers for a few months yet, but that small detail isn’t going to stop the world’s car customisers planning a tweak or three to Jaguar’s new sports car. Arden – German tuners of British cars – has revealed plans to make the new F-Type V8 S in to something akin to what we expect Jaguar’s own top-end F-Type V8 R to deliver when it arrives – around 550bhp.
Infiniti goes back to the Q
Mon, 17 Dec 2012Infiniti will completely rename its product portfolio next summer, returning to the letter “Q” from the brand's early history for every car, and “QX” for every Infiniti crossover and SUV. The company is undertaking the change to prepare for a broader array of future products around the world, says Johan de Nysschen, worldwide president of the brand. Infiniti's current lineup of sedans will become the Q50, Q60 and Q70.
