They had a little fiddle with the ECU to derestrict it (and yield 600bhp) but, it is claimed, made no further mods apart from adding a spoiler at the back to stop the XFR taking off on the Salt Flats’ wide open spaces. Honda expands recall for faulty headlights

Honda is expanding a recall launched in March to fix a headlight problem to include the Civic and Pilot. About 820,000 vehicles have been added to the recall, which now covers 2002-2003 Civic sedans and 2004-2005 Pilot SUVs. The problem is with the headlight-wiring system, which could cause the low beams not to work.

And when we first saw the Toyota FT-86 Concept at the end of 2009 (and in the flesh at Goodwood last summer) we’d expected to see it launch this year. Despite that expectation, we discovered in January that Toyota were actually taking a different concept to Geneva – the Toyota FT-86 II – dashing any hopes of the FT-86 in any shape or form hitting the road this year.
