  THIS IS A NEW, NEVER USED NOR OPENED (TILL THESE PHOTOS) UMBRELLA. THIS UMBRELLA IS A FLAT BLACK COLOR WITH A NON-SLIP NEOPRENE HANDLE. THE SKELETON FRAME IS A MADE FROM AIRCRAFT ALUMINUM AND IS IMPERVIOUS TO RUST AND CORROSION, PLUS IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT AND STRONG (THEY USE THE TESTED "I" BEAM CONSTRUCTION THROUGHOUT THIS SKELETON). THE ITEM NUMBER IS: BL492. THIS COULD BE USED AS A GOLF UMBRELLA DUE TO IT'S 2 INCH "SPIKE" AT THE TIP (USED TO HOLD THIS UMBRELLA ONTO A GOLF BAG ... WELL MOST GOLF BAGS AT LEAST). THIS UMBRELLA WAS DESIGNED TO BE ALL THINGS TO ALL PEOPLE, EASILY USED FOR A SPORTING EVENT, A WALK IN THE RAIN, COVER FOR TWO ETC.... THIS IS THE UMBRELLA THAT BENTLEY NOW USES AS THE REPLACEMENT THAT COMES AS STANDARD IN SOME OF THEIR MODEL CARS. THEIR ARE ONLY TWO (2) DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THESE TWO (2) UMBRELLAS. THE FIRST IS THE COLOR, THE ORIGINAL UMBRELLA WAS GREEN WHILE THIS ONE IS BLACK AND THE SECOND DIFFERENCE IS THE PRICE! THIS ONE IS 1/2 THE COST OF THE ORIGINAL UMBRELLA...... THIS IS WHY THEY HAVE MADE THE GREEN UMBRELLA "NLA" AS IN NO LONGER AVAILABLE! THE SIZE IS THAT OF A SPORTING UMBRELLA AT 51 INCHES (130CM) AND WILL KEEP TWO NORMAL SIZED PEOPLE DRY (OR ONE BIG A$$ DUDE). THESE NOW COME WITH A COLOR MATCHING SLEEVE AND A PLASTIC PROTECTIVE SLEEVE AS PICTURED. ON FOUR OF THE PANELS THEIR IS THE LARGE DOUBLE WINGED "B" THAT IS BENTLEY'S INFAMOUS LOGO/MARK. 2014 Ford Mondeo testing autonomous driving technologies (video)
Fri, 13 Dec 2013The Ford Fusion with its LIDAR ears allowing autonomous driving Car makers are starting to take self-driving, autonomous cars very seriously, and we’ve recently seen Mercedes testing their autonomous driving S-Class in Berlin, Volvo planning a big trial of 100 self-driving cars in Gothenberg and Tesla planning systems that will do 90 per cent of your driving within 3 years. Now it’s Ford’s turn. Ford has equipped a Fusion Hybrid (that’s the North American version of the new Ford Mondeo we still haven’t got in the UK) with its autonomous vehicle technology to conduct research in partnership with the University of Michigan and State Farm (a big group of insurance companies in the US). The test Fusion gets a system called LIDAR (light detection and range – the funny looking ears on the top of the Fusion in the picture above) which can scan the road ahead up to 2.5 million times a second and create a 3D map of the surroundings.
Beaulieu Sets Its Sights On A World Record Attempt
Mon, 10 Feb 2014IT MIGHT be best known for its collection of weird, wonderful and historically significant cars, but the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu is now reaching out to anyone with an interest in toy cars. As part of its bid to break the current world record for the longest line of toy cars, Beaulieu is asking for donations in order to topple the current record of 9,795, set in Guatemala last December. The attempt will be held in the grounds of the attraction with a continuous line, one kilometre long, of at least 10,000 cars placed end to end, starting and finishing inside the museum.
