But they also seem to be heading relentlessly down the 911 route in terms of model variations too. For 2011 there are two new models – the EGOIST and the Club Track edition, which we didn’t know when we first reported details of the 2011 GT-R in August.

Ferrari posted a 'Coming Soon' link on their site for the Ferrari 600GTB today! But it looks like all the interest in the 458 might just have got Ferrari a little flustered. Their web bods have updated the Ferrari website to show the information we brought you last week, but in the process they put up a nice little box which said ‘Coming soon – Ferrari 600 GTB‘.

Infiniti Q50 hit by steer-by-wire recall in the US

Infiniti has issued a recall notice in the US for a small number of Q50 models fitted with the firm’s new Direct Adaptive Steering system. This is a ‘steer-by-wire’ steering system that only has a mechanical link between the steering wheel and the wheels as a back-up. The rest of the time the steering is operated by electronics, rather than a direct connection.
