McLaren confirms limited run of 12C GT Can-Am racers

It's been a busy weekend for McLaren: not only did Lewis win the 2012 US grand prix, but the car-making division confirmed it would build the most powerful MP4-12C yet – the new 12C GT Can-Am Edition. It's the track-focused 12C racer and Woking has sanctioned a limited run 'of no more than 30 examples.' McLaren MP4-12C Can-Am: the background It's a maxxed-up version of the MP4-12C road car, which has so impressed us since launch. Here the 3.8-litre V8 bi-turbo is derestricted and boasts a maximum power output of 621bhp.

Gleagle GC7

The Gleagle GC7 from Geely is an evolution of a former model but is the first product launched under the new Gleagle brand name since it was announced in 2010. The GC7's upward-curved headlamps run out of the corners of the large center grille, while the side of the car has a strong feature line that runs down the whole body, serving to visually extend the car in side profile. The rear is again wholy conventional but appears neatly resolved.

The Audi RS5 with its active boot spoiler on view [ad#ad-1] The last time we saw the Audi RS5 out testing at the Nurburgring, it appeared to be pretty much undisguised. The video we had earlier of the RS5 (which has now been removed by YouTube) showed the RS5 lapping the Nurburgring at a fair lick. But it would appear that the car we saw then still had something to hide – a trick rear spoiler.
