Nice early 396-427 oval port cylinder head. This listing is for 1 cylinder head casting with valves. Casting is in great shape, looks like it has recent bronze liners and the valves fit well, also cut for PC seals although it was equipped with umbrella type seals. SS exaust valves,Valve job looks to be ok, engine had good compression. No repairs, cracks , stripped threads, or signs of overheating or butchered valve jobs. 3917215 casting # B-20-8 Feb 20, 1968. 325 350 L34 L35 335 385 390 400 HP engines .I believe that they are around 100 CC closed chambers. Thu, 13 Aug 2009BMW has released images and detail on the BMW ActiveHybrid 7 Series The 7 Series ActiveHybrid, although built to serve the same purpose, utilises a different methodology to the X6 AvtiveHybrid. It is a ‘Mild’ Hybrid – built in co-operation with Mercedes – that uses a single electric motor (as opposed to the X6′s twin motors) together with the BMW 4.4 litre, twin-turb0 V8, to deliver 455 horses and 516lb/ft of torque. The V8 delivers 440bhp with the electric motor adding an extra 15bhp.The electric motor in the 7 Series ActiveHybrid is sandwiched between the 8-speed ZF ‘box and the engine.
