Setting industry standards, SCE Pro Copper head gaskets are recommended for serious racing engines and are used to seal metal-shredding Top Fuel, Top Alcohol, and Pro Mod nitrous-powered monsters. Created from solid copper sheets rolled to SCE specs, these Pro Copper gaskets are inspected for flatness for uniform contact on your sealing surface. They are then processed and heat-treated to ensure conformity to your mating surface for measurable gains in cylinder sealing. Yes, there are cheaper head gaskets, but inferior material and uneven load distribution could "torch" your savings--not good! Pro Copper gaskets are available in many bore and thickness combinations to suit your performance needs. To attain a better fit, better leakdowns, and better ETs from your monster horsepower, seal it tight with SCE Pro Copper head gaskets.

Chevrolet Sonic turbo gets six-speed automatic

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Chevrolet Sonic fans who want the turbocharged 1.4-liter engine but don't want a manual transmission are in luck. Chevrolet is now shipping the Sonic with a six-speed automatic mated to the turbo engine. Fuel economy for the turbo Sonic, despite the automatic, is 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway, with a 0-to-60-mph time of about eight seconds, Chevy says.

Vauxhall Ampera price cut by £3,500

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

The Vauxhall Ampera (pictured) drops in price by £3500 Although we still feel the range-extender is the right way for car makers to go to get the car buying public to accept EVs, the range-extender Vauxhall Ampera has not exactly been a runaway success. Despite Vauxhall offering potential Ampera buyers the option of trying it for 30 days and handing it back if they don’t like it, the Ampera has failed miserably to sell in any sort of volume. So, with new competition on the way from the range-extender BMW i3, Vauxhall are taking drastic action to try and tempt buyers in to the Ampera and are slashing prices by £3,500.

2012 Honda Pilot refined inside and out

Thu, 01 Sep 2011

Boasting a slight makeover, the 2012 Honda Pilot is ready for showroom floors with a sleeker exterior, an upgraded interior and slightly better fuel efficiency, according to Honda. The Pilot's restyled front end swaps 2011's six-sided grille insert for a horizontal three-bar, chrome-style fascia and new headlights. All trim levels have acoustic windshield glass, which was previously exclusive to the EX-L and Touring models.
