The Mercedes SLM AMG - a baby, mid-engined SLS Ever since the Mercedes SLS launched – in truth, even before – there have been rumours of a smaller version. Just like we’ve had with the Audi R8. The MINI Clubman Bond Street, named after London’s Bond Street Shopping district, has been revealed ahead of a Geneva 2013 debut. As has been MINI’s strategy for a while, all MINI Special Editions are named after London districts, this time one of London’s shopping areas – Bond Street – and nothing to do with James Bond (much as MINI might have liked to find a 007 connection). The MINI Clubman Bond Street gets the usual special edition fare of custom paint job – this time Midnight Black with Cool Champagne highlights – a set of stripes, black twin-spoke alloys with Champagne centres and ‘Bond Street’ on the side indicator surrounds and sills.

VW to build engine plant in Mexico to supply Tenn. factory, source says

Volkswagen AG plans to announce Wednesday that it will build an engine plant in Mexico to supply vehicles assembled in North America, a source at the company's assembly plant in Puebla said. A VW spokesman confirmed that the company will make an announcement but declined to say what it will concern. The new plant will supply an existing VW plant in Puebla, 75 miles southeast of Mexico City, and one being built in Chattanooga, Tenn., the source said.
