The high-quality new cover protects an aftermarket radio from the elements with an aesthetically pleasing design that does not hinder access to radio controls or functionality.

The HDWS1B’s unique, single piece design fits in the factory dash opening rather than the radio mounting surface. This translates into minimal protrusion and a smooth shape that looks appropriate in the factory dash,

while providing maximum clearance to accommodate different aftermarket radio designs.

The HDWS1B radio cover is tinted and has a textured perimeter for optimal glare reduction and readability in both daytime and nighttime environments. Its automotive grade O-ring seal creates a secure and watertight dash fit

. Proudly made in the USA with high grade acrylic, the HDWS1B cover is UV stable, as well as impact and scratch resistant. Through sophisticated tooling design, the lower rim is recessed for an exact fit of the custom O-ring

while the entire flange incorporates an ideal draft angle.

Two finger tabs are incorporated into the cleverly designed cover to provide easy one-handed removal. The cover can be oriented with the tabs facing upward or downward. Due to its unique pressure fit and O-ring design, no tools,

double sided tape, or Velcro are required for installation. The HDWS1BRadio Cover fits most 1996-2013 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide and Street Glide models with aftermarket radios.

Drawing is the basic language of designers, and is the time-honoured way in which a designer will communicate an idea. However, designers are often required to describe or explain their designs - and the work of others - in words, and for this, they need a vocabulary. The vocabulary they use is one whose origins stretch back to another era and to different disciplines, and which, with the now multi-cultural nature of the profession and advances in computer technology, is still growing.

Two new Hyundai transmissions boost mpg

Mon, 06 Dec 2010

Hyundai will introduce dual-clutch and continuously variable transmissions to models for the United States as early as next year as it seeks to become a leader in fuel efficiency, a top executive says. This will be the first application of a dual-clutch transmission for Hyundai. The transmission--which uses two clutches to shift a manual gearbox as if it were an automatic--is more efficient than either a traditional manual or automatic gearbox.

Nissan Extrem SUV concept (2012) first official pictures

Tue, 23 Oct 2012

Nissan is looking to bring a splash of colour and outlandish design to Brazil's streets with their latest creation: the Extrem SUV concept. It's an eye-grabbing response to the 'more affordable locally produced vehicles, which tend to be conservative in design, colour and specification', according to company Senior Vice President Shiro Nakamura. What niche does the Nissan Extrem fall into? If the love-it-or-hate-it Nissan Juke is the marque's jacked-up supermini crossover, the Extrem is the rakish, sportier version of that: a sort of X6 to the Juke's X5, if you will.
