And one of the best ways to move metal – or at least get punters to come and have a look – is to launch a limited edition model with some cut-price kit bolted on. So we get the Peugeot 207 Sportium, which Peugeot says “…builds on the already comprehensive standard specification of the previous special edition 207 Millesim model”.
Audi TT goes SUV: offroad concept revealed in Beijing
Sun, 20 Apr 2014Audi has revealed a bold TT crossover SUV at the Beijing Motor Show – and the offroad concept looks so complete and production-intent, we wouldn’t bet against this concept becoming a showroom reality sooner than we think. Audi’s technical boss Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg admitted at the big China show that the TT offroad concept was “a glimpse of how we might imagine a new model in a future TT family”, and that last word is crucial: this is the first clear sign that the TT is going to turn from a single model into a range of cars in its own right.
Audi R8 China Edition: 80 cars – numbered 1-99
Mon, 10 Dec 2012Audi has produced a limited run R8 China Edition with a total of 80 cars being produced in Blue and Grey numbered 1-99. Not only has Audi produced the China Edition R8, they’ve gone to some trouble to make it as appealing as possible to Chinese buyers by numbering the cars 1-99, but excluding any number ’4′. The number 4 is thought unlucky in China as it sounds like ‘si’, which means death.
