AMG-inspired Cigarette boat to appear at Miami boat show

Polish up those white loafers and pick up a ticket to Florida, 'cause the 2013 Miami International Boat Show is nearly here. With its aquatic focus, the marine expo is a welcome break from the long list of annual motor shows -- but that doesn't mean automakers won't play any possible angle to ensure they have a presence at the event. That's why Mercedes-Benz has once again teamed up with go-fast boat maker Cigarette to bring an AMG-inspired vessel to the show.

I-Tech will add special alloy wheels and equipment extras to the Mii, Ibiza, Toledo, Altea, Altea XL and the Alhambra, even including special edition floor mats, badges and key covers on some models.   With the unveiling of the new BMW M4 imminent, BMW’s excitement has got the better of it with the M Division releasing a video showing featuring the new M4’s engine note. The video might be called ‘BMW M is preparing something new’, but the engine isn’t really a fresh design. It’s actually a tweaked, twin-turbo version of the 435i’s 3.0-litre straight-six, making this the first M Division 3-series derivative to use forced induction.
