Driven: BMW X3

Fri, 04 Feb 2011

The BMW X3 had the premium CUV market to itself when launched in 2004. Skip forward to the launch of the second generation and not only does the new version have a whole host of competitors for company, it also has to fit around its X1, X5 and X6 siblings. Abarth Punto EVO gets esseesse boost

Fri, 08 Jul 2011

Abarth Punto EVO esseesse gets an extra 15 horses The Fiat 1.4 litre lump which powers the Abarth Punto EVO is already a lively little thing. Despite its rather modest capacity it manages to deliver a healthy 165bhp, enough to scoot the Abarth Punto EVO to 62mph in 7.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 133mph. Far from shoddy.

After all, STI (Subaru Tecnica International) is the go faster bit of Subaru so it seemed to be pointing in the right direction, a direction lovers of the BRZ (and its sibling, the Toyota GT86) have been hoping for since it arrived – one with more power. But this isn’t the Subaru equivalent of a BMW M or a Mercedes AMG, its more the equivalent of BMW Performance Parts, where Subaru’s STI division have kitted out a standard car with bolt on modifications and called it the Subaru BRZ tS.
