The McLaren P11 has been pounding round the Nurburgring ahead of a launch on 9th September Ahead of the launch of the P11, McLaren are pushing on with testing the P11, and our picture here is of the P11 pounding round the Nurburgring in final testing. The McLaren P11 is the first stage of McLaren’s plans to launch a range of three new cars in the next few years. The P11 is aimed directly at the new Ferrari 458 Italia and the Lamborghini LP560-4.

Bentley has release comprehensive specs for the 2010 Mulsanne Bentley has now finished producing cars of the pre-VW era. The last of the old-school Bentleys have now rolled off the production line and we now have a clean sweep of modern-day Bentleys. The Continental GT has spawned umpteen variants – including the Continental Supersports Convertible which is also here at Geneva – but the real focus at Geneva is on the replacement for the venerable Arnage.

BMW set to debut diesel 7-series in the US

While Mercedes-Benz has let us Americans buy diesel versions of its flagship sedan from time to time, BMW has kept a number of versions of the 7-series from our shores, among which are 7-series sedans with diesel engines. Well, it looks like we'll finally be getting a diesel 7-series after all, with the arrival of the 740Ld later this spring. The 740Ld will be powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six diesel engine with a single turbocharger with variable vane turbine technology, making 255-hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, and will be coupled exclusively with BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system.
