*** 08/06/16 modifications made to original design for fitment now fits for 2003 - 2015 hemi 5.7, 6.1 & 6.4 and some of the aftermarket gen 3 hemi heads, please ask
*** 08/10/16 now a pocket is around ea set of plugs that the coil packs sink into
*** 08/10/16 added a couple of photos of these painted, red and black and the tops of the fins cleaned.
*** 08/10/16  added 2 more fins than original
*** 08/10/16 there is now a twisted rib around each spark coil seat area.
*** 08/17/16 added pictures of new coil mounting system

tech specs as follows
* all the seal grooves have a small fillet leading into them and the slots are 1/32 deeper than stock,
the reason for modification is only to make it easier to install the covers
* the floor area where these bolt to the head are 3/8 thick to maintain flatness
* the factory rib that other aftermarket manufactures remove we maintained, the factory put it there for a reason,
when these engines are 2000+ rpm as much as 2 quarts of oil are inside the valve cover area
* the area around the coil towers is 5/16 thick, this thickness is maintained through the long axis of the cover to help seal the coil land area
*  we revised the structural design inside the covers, we added a bunch of ribs, they don't add to the outside appearance but strengthen the flatness of the coil lands dramatically
*  the general wall thickness is 1/8.

> Available finishes are as machined (for paint), polished and satin.

Daimler to axe Maybach in 2013. New Mercedes S Class Pullman instead

Fri, 25 Nov 2011

Maybach Axed We’ve been preidtcing the demise of Maybach for some time. After all, who wants an old S Class with chintzy trim and lots of toys for more money than a Rolls Royce Phantom? And now it seems that Daimler has also realised their revival of the Maybach has fallen flat on its face (except in Germany and to a pair from the Dragons’ Den) and it’s time to move on.

Toyota FT-86 II concept

Mon, 14 Mar 2011

Toyota's FT-86 concept has had much fascination and speculation attached to it since its original show debut at the 2009 Tokyo motor show. Geneva saw the much anticipated RWD coupe receive a mild make over and feature several updates for 2011. The FT-86 II has been developed in conjunction with Subaru, who also previewed their vision of the same brief...albeit somewhat further from production specification than the Toyota.
