Mercedes E-class facelift (2013): first official pictures

The four-eyed Mercedes E-class is dead. Ushered in with this facelifted-for-2013 version of the executive express stalwart are refreshed looks, better engines and new safety systems. Mercedes claims the new E-class is the cleanest in the executive class, and that much of the car's gadgetry will also be seen on the upcoming S-class limo. Talk me through the 2013 Mercedes E-class facelift Up front, the most noticeable change is the switch from E-class trademark quad headlights to one-piece clusters festooned with LED trinketry.

Peugeot HR1 concept

Alongside the new 508, Peugeot unveiled a B-segment SUV concept called the HR1 in Paris. The new car builds on the new design identity established by the SR1 concept, but also features elements of the diminutive BB1 concept revealed at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. Banks and Ryan ready for Pikes Peak

Gale Banks, part-time stunt driver Mike Ryan and the diesel wizards from Gale Banks Engineering will return to Pikes Peak this year with the Freightliner Cascadia that finished ninth in 2012. Competing in the Pikes Peak Open class, the team has been furiously working on the truck at the Banks Performance home base in Azusa, Calif. To get the semi tractor up the 12.4 mile road, Banks is installing its Super-Turbo setup on the 14.7-liter, Detroit Diesel-equipped truck.
