Biltwell Inc. Chumps 8" Handlebars

This item fits:
Pre-82 Models/Smooth(No Dimples)

Construction: 1-inch O.D. x 0.120” wall seamless 4130 chromoly tubing. All bends are created with internal mandrels on a CNC bender to reduce flat spots in the radiuses, and all welded joints are precision mitered and TIG welded. For exact measurements, please click the Specifications icon in the photo album.

Fitment: At 8 inches from center of clamping area to center of the top bends, Biltwell Chumps fall right in the middle in terms of height. Thirty-five degrees of back sweep ensures your wrists remain comfortable on long rides. Depending on the height of the bars you’re replacing, longer brake lines, clutch and throttle cables and/or switch wiring might be required. If you’re not confident in your ability to change handlebars on your motorcycle, please consult a service professional.

These bars look great on: There’s hardly a stock or custom motorcycle we’ve seen or ridden that doesn’t look and feel great with a pair of Chumps. Bill has used them on his FXR and his rigid shovelhead, and McGoo’s had a pair on his rigid Hinckley Triumph. Chumps look great on any bike with a stock or slightly stretched backbone length, stock to slightly raked neck angle, and stock to 6” over forks. As Biltwell bars go, this model is extremely versatile.

Pontiac G8: A bit of hope?

Mon, 08 Jun 2009

There could be a slight glimmer of hope for the Pontiac G8 to live on in some rebadged form. “I know there's still discussions on it,” General Motors' product czar Tom Stephens said in Automotive News. “But Chevrolet already has several sedans.

Land Rover Range Rover [w/Gallery]

Wed, 15 Aug 2012

The first images and details of the fourth-generation Range Rover have been released, with a notable upward shift in size and 'dynamism' for the full-fat RR. The outgoing version brought with it a dramatic increase in size to make way for the smaller Sport and this new one grows to truly 'full-size' dimensions. The increase in length (no official figures have been released) is exaggerated by the canted-back nose, extended wheelbase and rear overhang and tapering roof line.

One Lap of the Web: Ferrari goulash and Abarth gnocchi

Tue, 20 May 2014

-- South Korea's automotive legacy may not be as rich as, say, Czechoslovakia's, but don't tell collector Baek Joong-gil that. Not to his face, anyway. He might be behind the wheel of one of his five hundred cars, which includes such rarities as the Kia T-600 (Kia's first car, built under license from Mazda in 1963); the Cadillac Fleetwood of former president Park Chung-hee; and Korea's oldest fire truck.
